BECOME SOMEONE

Hello,

We had another crazy week out here in Cambodia. We had our last interviews with President and Sister C before they leave back to America. I am going to miss them so much they are such amazing people and such inspiring examples. I feel so blessed to be serving under them. We had MLC this week and it was a great discussion, worth the 16 hour travel time. We also went on two exchanges this week and I got to go with my trainer which was a party just like the good old days :)

I got a haircut this week for $1.25 and I think it was the best haircut that I have ever gotten in my life so that was cool. So the power goes out all the time here in Cambodia. Earlier this week I woke up in the middle of the night sweating to death because the power had gone out I was literally soaking wet so needless to say not much sleep but you gotta love Cambodia!

We had another investigator move to Thailand. But we got a new Relief Society President and she is so amazing so we are looking forward to working with her. We actually had a ward counsel this week (a very rare occurance in Cambodia, at least where I have served) So that was great to be able to work more with the leaders out here. So things are all looking up this week hopefully we will get to spend some more time proselyting in our area instead of on the bus!

I love this quote this week "In contrast to the world which teaches us to know something, the gospel of Jesus Christ challenges us to become something."
I love the gospel and the opportunity it gives us to become someone new each day and to change our natures to become like our Savior.

We are all striving to become better disciples of Christ and as we do so we need to remember John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love on to another. "What we love determines what we seek, what we seek determines what we think and do, what we think and do determines who we are and who we will become." Wow. I think that is so powerful. As long as we are striving our very best to keep the great two commandments to love God and our neighbors we will be able to slowly become more like Christ and into the disciples He needs us to be.

Love you!!!

Sister Stratford
