Wow. We had so many miracles this week it was crazy. I feel like we just had investigators falling into our lap all week. The past month we have been trying to find some elect people to teach and hadn't really found quality investigators. But this week was a miracle. We found one man and his daughter who had previously gotten baptized but never confirmed from about a year ago. We had a sketchy map but we went and tried to find his house and after about an hour of searching we finally found him and he said he had been praying we would come. We had a referral of this cute old lady who ended up coming to church for all 3 hours. And we had another youth just walk right into the church and said she wanted to learn with us. I feel like things are going to start taking off.
Mey is getting baptized this week which we are really excited about. We had another exchange this week with the sisters serving in Siem Riep. I went with Sister Clark and we were actually in the same ward at byu even though we never knew each other that was a fun connection. It was nice being with someone else who knows a lot of khmer we had a blast.
When we were contacting this week we came across this man who was Cambodian but I swear he was italian at heart. He was the cutest old man and we had a good laugh with him and his wife for about 10 minutes. Cambodia is the happiest. Our recent converts are doing so well and they amaze me each time we go and teach them.
I read a lot about following the prophet this week and here are a few thoughts I liked. "Anchoring our souls to the Lord Jesus Christ requires listening to those He sends. Following the prophet in a world of commotion is like being wrapped in a soothing, warm blanket on a freezing cold day... A prophet does not stand between you and the Savior. Rather, he stands beside you and points the way to the Savior."
Following the counsel of the prophets immediately provides so much safety and protection in this world and always leads us close to our Savior. I am so thankful for President Nelson and how he is directing the Lord's church today. I know he is a prophet of God who is watching out for us and teaching us what we need to do in order to not fall into the temptations of the world and to protect us from the spiritual danger we may not see coming.
Love,
Sister Stratford
