This week was a good one, we had a few overcast days which was nice because it wasn't quite as hot but still very humid. We got to go to phnom sombau this week which was beautiful we did a fun hike and got to see some bat caves. Cambodia is the most beautiful country I feel so lucky to be serving here.
We decided to take a different way home from our investigators that we thought might be faster and got lost in the jungle for about an hour and a half and had some random kids ask us to sing jingle bells so that was an adventure. I also got pretty sick this week. The rainy season is supposed to be coming soon and I can't wait for the temperature to cool down a little.
We had a district conference this week and President and Sister C bore their testimonies in Khmer it was awesome they are the cutest and I am so sad that they are leaving in a month. It was such a powerful meeting and I feel like it was all directed exactly at me and answered so many prayers that I have been seeking for many months. I know that Heavenly Father is very aware of His children and that He loves loves loves us!!!
As far as our investigators go, we have a few progressing, but very slowly. We had lots of cool experiences teaching this week and got a couple new investigators we are hopeful about but we are still on the hunt to find the elect.
I was studying about service this week and how to better minister to those around us and these are a few quotes I enjoyed
"We are the Lord's hands here upon the earth, with the mandate to serve and to lift His children. He is dependent upon each of us."
"Hard as things seem today, they will be better in the next day if you choose to serve the Lord this day with your whole heart."
Service really does make you happy and I have never been happier since coming on my mission and being able to serve and get served by these beautiful people. I have had a few new sisters ask me why I am so happy all the time and I think it is because of this opportunity I have to serve every single day. It is such a blessing!
Love,
Sister Stratford
